Christmas time, mistletoe and wine

My mum's Fabulous Christmas tree. Best one yet. Filled with flowers, birds, bows and giant baubles, what more could you want from a Chrismas tree.

My wonderful granny gave my sisters and I  blinging initial decorations to hang from our Christmas tree.

My dog Paws in his Christmas scarf.

I had such a lovely Christmas. We spent the day visiting family, drinking pink champagne and eating a whooooopppper dinner. Cant wait to do it all over again next year.

Secret Dinner Parties, when's the next one ??

I recently went to a secret dinner party with friends. 6 courses, 50 dinner guests and lots of fun.We all dressed up and were highly entertained.A glass of prosecco to start and 6 delicious courses later I was full of Christmas cheer. The venue was decorated with lots of candles and chandeliers and was so festive and lovely. I cant wait for the next one :)

Resuming Life. Now

I have been sucked into the world of full time work (bleugh) and have forgotten how to have a life along the way. But no more!!! I am now willing to embrace the tiredness and still have fun. So hopefully I will have things to post about soon .

In the meantime I am rather chuffed with my new pair of mustard stilettos a la PENNEYS!!! delirah.

Also, I have been having a little fun in the form of a Madmen party I attended last weekend. The boys looked rather dapper in their suits and ties, whilst the ladies looked, well they looked lady-like :)
Best theme for a party ever and an amazing effort made by the boys who hosted it. A New York skyline lined the walls, authentic whisky sours were served along with old school tunes and cheesy lines galore!  Bring me back to the 50's..

more fun soon please

New Favourites

My two new favourite things are Lanolips Ointment and my mini bottle of Balenciaga perfume which came in this mini drawstring pouch.

Lanolips was recommended to me by a friend just as I felt my lips were about to fall off my face from the cold weather. For reasons unknown to me the cold weather makes my lips so dry and chapped that I dont want to talk because it hurts too much (what a tragedy I know!). I have tried every remedy there is to battle against this problem but have failed.
Until now. HURRAY !!!Lanolips is a bit on the pricey side for a lipbalm but its DEADLY!! I can now smile again without it hurting :D You can pick it up anywhere I think(got mine in Boots) and I would highly recommend it if you are a fellow cold weather sufferer like me.

My second new favourite is my lovely Balenciaga perfume, brought home from Italy by my lovely Mum. I have been perfume-less for quite some time and havent had the mula to treat myself but now I shall smell divine thanks to good old mammy. x

coffee, shopping & a little DFF

jumper: h&m, belt & bag:thrifted, skirt: F21, hat:a lovely gift
Yesterday was spent shopping and drinking coffee. Two of my favourite things to do :)
Looking out my window I decided I would dress for the usual cold Irish weather, but as soon as I stepped foot outside I realised it was rather balmy. So excuse the furry hat as I was actually ROASTIN'
I promptly replaced my furry hat with a purple one from Zara :)

Before my much needed coffee fix!

Coffee Break

Later that evening my friends Orla, Emily and myself hit up the start of Dublin Fashion Festival. We kicked off the night in Horse & June. A fabulous vintage boutique housing a beautiful collection of finely tuned vintage pieces hand picked by the stores owner Zoe Wong. The night launched a collaborative short/fashion film "Storm in a teacup", in which Zoe created the costumes and music was supplied by Gepetto. Our thirst was quenched by lovely cocktails and Lagerfeld inspired diet cokes mmm. Check out Horse & June here http://horseandjune.com/collection/.
We teetered towards Brown Thomas afterwards where we encountered Mr Karl Lagerfeld's lookalike, some burlesque dancing and tunes galore.
All in all a lovely evening of fashionable fun. The DFF runs all weekend so y'all should check it out.

Refreshed

All things nice by Rodarte

I'm liking Rodarte for Opening Ceremony's collection and their lookbook shots. The images are interesting and different enough to catch your eye, yet you can still get a good look at the clothes...the most important part, right?
The sisterly duo have managed to create an exciting collection for opening ceremony, filtering their sometimes over the top (and wonderful might I add) style into more commercial wearable pieces. And it just looks so pretty :)

And for boys too..

What I did today...

The sun was shining and today I wore a Zara top/tunic that I "borrowed" from my Mum. I wear it with a lacy slip that you can see when I walk. As well as it being sunny, it was also my little sisters Débutante's Ball. Oh the drama!! I was on baking duty and made strawberry baked cheesecake and oreo brownies! Deadly or wha :)

And here is my beautiful little sister.
Her gorgeous dress was designed and made by Sequins and Threads. Take a look at their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150273599115401.516615.817810400&type=1#!/pages/Sequins-Threads/115843221830789

Accessorise, Accessorise, Accessorise

Put 'em Up!!!

It's all about the accessories these days (as well as nail varnish) and I've found myself collecting rings. Here are a few from my growing collection.
The above collection are a mixture of my own silver rings from Kenya and my Granny, the gold and coral one from Penneys and the other two gold ones from h&m. The highstreet are churning out great things these days which is allowing me to fuel my latest obsession..uh oh !

Thanks to Rach for the photos :)
