This pretty scene is actually a representation of Bovine viseral something or other...can't really remember what the guide told us but its made from cow hide, bones, and foetal bovine matter...not so pretty now!

Rodarte's latest show was a wash with long silky, flowing, gorgeous wheat grass printed dresses. Wheat Grass? what? Yes and the Rodarte girls have managed to make it look elegant and light and oh so pretty. A bit of a change from their older grungier stuff but a refreshing change at that.
And of course there is this FAB sparkledance showstopper...

Workin' life

Working as a freelance designer is new and also a little strange to me. I'm the kind of person who loves to chat and be around people so the solitude lifestyle of a freelancer never really appealed to me. Alas in this day and age beggars cannot be choosers and thus I am now a freelance textile designer.
At the moment I am working with Penneys (Irish Primark) designing prints. All very top secret and hush hush but hopefully you will see some of my work in a Penneys store near you very soon :)

The perks of being a freelance designer are being able to pop into town and meet with friends like Ems and Bex at the drop of a hat.......

Downside to it is sitting at my desk at 10pm with a long list of things to do for tomorrow and not having fun with said friends.....

Also this is what a wore today, had ankle boots and thick woolly socks on too.

Suno YUM

More is more evidently with Suno's latest offering of granny chic...Its so wrong yet so right! It looks like that scene in "The Sound of Music" where Julie Andrews takes to hacking up the curtains to make the children's play clothes. I like the clashing prints and voluminous shapes that some garments have, whilst others are quite tailored. Well done Suno!
Now I must get raiding Gran's wardrobe!

Saturday Jollies

Today was a lovely day. I spent this lovely day having fun with my lovely friend Daz. Last night we went to a very fun party and today we were feeling a little delicate so we decided we would treat ourselves to a spot of lunch.

I wish every day could be a Saturday like this.

I loved this mans bicycle and that he was wearing a red jumper and a beret. I wasn't quick enough with the camera to get a proper picture...
