Whilst dreaming of the feeling of sunshine on my face and a tan to match I came across this young designer. The images in her new collection and the pretty ice-cream pastels made me want to hop on a plane, destination sun. The designer in question is Karla Spetic. She is an Australian designer who Ive recently come to love. Her style is a mix of clever tailoring, pastels and wicked cool prints. Spetic's latest offering is a very pleasing one indeed. I love the bold use of the Australian outback images on simple silhouettes teamed with the subtle pastel colourway.

Being a print designer meself I tend to scrutinize a little too much but I like it when a designer has the balls to slap a big print on the front of a simple dress. The collection is quite masculine in shape with trouser suits and shirts being the main focus but the use of pretty pinks and pale blues adds that feminine edge. This is only the designers second collection and I cant wait to see what she produces in the future.
